Since 1995, Bert has been using his leadership, project management skills, and in depth knowledge of the commercial painting industry to drive projects to completion while ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship.
Prior to founding Sousa & Company, Inc. in 2009 Bert worked as a Foreman in the DC 35 Painters Union where he managed varies projects throughout the Boston area. During this time he was able to hone his skills in managing teams of journeymen and apprentices, communication with project managers, and issue resolution.
Since Bert was young he had entrepreneurial dreams to operate his own company some day. In 2008, Bert attended Wentworth Institute and enrolled in Estimating, Plan Reading, and Project Management courses. After completing his coursework and with over a decade worth of field experience under his belt he set out to achieve his dream of owning his own company and in 2009 Sousa & Company, Inc. was born.
Bert has made it his mission to ensure that the reputation of Sousa & Company, Inc. is that of a company that embodies honesty and integrity.
He developed a strong management team of like minded professionals who consistently deliver for clients which has been crucial to the success of Sousa & Company.
